Peter Parker’s journey balances nearly two decades of legacy elements in Spiderman: No Way Home. Willem Dafoe’s turn as Green Goblin is especially intense, and he looks like he’s having an amazing time. I think it was a good move for Dafoe to ditch the silly flight suit; the new look lets him do more face acting. He now resembles the terrible comic version of the character. The arrival of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Peters brought hope to a super dark time. The reunion with Maguire after 14 years was wonderful – I was so relieved to see him with Michael Jackson. The Amazing Spiderman 2 is a mess, but Garfield reminds us he’s the most talented actor to portray the role; he is charming in every scene.
Cameo by Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock is the show’s best part.

The Spider-Men are incredibly moving
Throughout the film, it was moving to see the three Spider-Men express their pain and loss to one another. I, also enjoyed watching them work together as a team. We can relate most to superheroes when they are faced with problems they cannot solve, and when they have to accept a fate, they cannot change.
The elder Spider-Men encouraged Tom Holland’s character not to be bitter over the past because it won’t change anything. It made me realize that everyone watching had likely experienced grief and loss in some form and that in a moment of disconnect, we could all find comfort in these characters – and, by extension, in each other.
